Fred Yu, a senior at Westford Academy is part of the executive committee for the Westford Farmer’s Market. When asked why he volunteers at the market, he replied “The Farmer’s Market is awesome. I completely agree with its beliefs of bringing the community together and raising awareness on issues of sustainability.” As an individual with various interests, Fred enjoys playing piano, his favorite color is purple and he is interested in philosophy. Fred hopes to get into MIT and study Biology. His favorite book is The Little Prince in French. Fred admires Eric Lander, a geneticist who contributed to the human genome project, because he added to the collective mind of science and human knowledge.
