By training, Kristina is an electrical engineer with 14 years of experience as a Software Engineer. Now a stay-at-home mom of 3 young children she wants to help preserve the planet her children will inherit. She started going more green about 4 years ago using reusable grocery bags, changing to CFL light bulbs, reducing energy usage and learning about toxins and pesticides. Most of the "green" ideas she implemented in her home were simple and inexpensive, if not money savers. She wanted to see more "green" around Westford. She volunteers with the Westford Recycling Commission to help the schools recycle more. Your children may have seen her introducing milk bottle recycling to Nabnasset Elementary last May. When she discovered TerraCycle, she knew this could be another way to introduce more recycling and let people in on how easy it could be. She brought Upcycle It! to Sustainable Westford and loves spending Tuesday afternoons talking to people about the 3 R's - reducing , reusing, and recycling.
