Gloria Gilbert started the market over 4 years ago. "The initial goal was an idyllic dream of biking up to the common with my son, buying a somewhat healthy cookie, sitting down and enjoying the music, sunshine and fresh air. That was my ideal and I think we achieved that. Four years later I find our opportunity is being able to educate and promote environmental issues. That’s where I see it going from here...Read her Q&A with the Westford Eagle here.

Samantha Ronayne, WA Manager
I'm a senior at WA. I started volunteering here 3 years ago for the community service hours but kept coming back each year for the experience. WFM taught me how to be a leader and how to deal with all sorts of people but also how to laugh. We have almost our own little family here that when days are slow we can sit around and laugh with sharing certain moments that can't be forgotten. I also spend a lot of my free time volunteering at Emerson Hospital, working part-time and hanging out with my friends. I'm looking forward to going to school next year and doing something with healthcare and medicine.

Michael Gallucci, WA Manager
I am a senior at Westford Academy. I lived in Westford for two years; this is the sixth state I moved to in my lifetime. I volunteered for the Westford Farmer's Market because I found it to be a great way to support our community. After two years of volunteering for Westford Farmer's Market, I realized that it gave me the opportunity to get to know other Westford residents, as well as my peers. I enjoy the outdoors, and I am currently a Cirrus Instructor at WA. I like to hike, camp, and do rock climbing, but, most of all, I love to fly fish. I am also part of the Westford Stream Team, whose role is to keep Westford's streams and ponds healthy and clean. I love helping others, and I intend to pursue a career in the medical field in the future

Pooja Gupta, WA Volunteer
I'm Pooja Gupta. I've lived in Westford all my life and have volunteered at the market for three years. I love the bagels and hummus here ( I have it for lunch every Tuesday). I plan on majoring in biology or art, I haven't decided yet. I like to draw, dance and read. I volunteer at the market because I think it's a great experience and I love being outside with my friends.

Corey Holman, WA Volunteer
My name is Corey Holman and I am a senior at Westford Academy. I volunteer at the farmer's market because I love the environment and the Westford community. I love fresh, local food and helping people out. My favorite part about the farmer's market is handing out free drinks to the vendors and just interacting with everyone. I love face
painting all the little kids and seeing their smiles. I do gymnastics, play soccer, and love to hike outside. I have a garden and want to promote healthy lifestyles.

August Posch, WA Volunteer
August Posch is a sophomore at Westford Academy. He got into volunteering because his older sister always enjoyed it, and now he does too. August loves playing cello and listening to metal music. At home he plays board games and video games with friends; he also likes to run long distances, hike, and nordic ski. August has lived in Westford his whole life
.

Laurianne Posch, WA Volunteer
I volunteer for the market for two main reasons: I love getting outside and I love seeing people I know come to the market. I like going running, but my true passion is cross country skiing in the winter with the WA nordic skiing team. I play violin in the school's orchestra, and also tutor younger students in violin, along with working at a string instrument store in Westford called Bridges and Bows. Above all, I love to laugh. I love telling jokes (though unfortunately most people don't find them remotely funny), and I try to find humor in everything!

Jess Devereaux, WA Volunteer
I'm a senior at Westford Academy and have been volunteering at the Farmer's Market for 3 years. I volunteer at the Market because I love the outdoor community feel, and I always have a blast working with the other volunteers. We've become good friends and always manage to laugh (Laurianne always has a joke to tell!).
I'm a vegetarian and love trying new foods at the Market. I love animals, and work at a pet store. I have been horseback riding for 7 years, and love jumping!

John Gallucci, WA Volunteer
When I first volunteered at the Farmer's Market, I really just saw it
as another source of community service hours. However, after going to the Market
a couple of times, I realized there was something special there. Since then, I have seen it as more of a commitment to the community than just a weekly burden. Currently in my Junior year at Westford Academy, I am an officer in the Latin Club, as well as a member of the Community Service Team (CST). As for career interests, I have aspired to become a Paleontologist before I even knew how to spell the word.
